Spinning harder than I thought

I received my drop spindle. Spent Sunday trying and trying to spin only to have everything keep coming unraveled... i didn't realize your suppose to set your twist. *sigh* I was very disappointed. Also, my hook broke off my spindle already. It just came unscrewed I'm going to try gluing it in and see if that makes it stick. Now that I've read up on setting the twist I will have to try it. Then I'll get some pictures up of my spinning attempts.

hi from etsy!
I am a relatively new spinner too. I'm having a lot of fun at it. Mine came with an instructional dvd. are you just trying to learn with written instructions? I don't think I could do it that way. Cant wait to see some of your yarn!!

Hello friends.

Wild- my first go or two were off written directions, but then I had to look up videos online... somewhere i would give the link if I remembered where.

Anglia- you can say that again.

fuzzy izmit- i was going to make the cd version of a drop spindle but found a handmade one cheaper than cd parts.

steffi- thanks!
